Terms for these tools

These terms cover the free tools at mendia.dev/tools/, including the app privacy policy generator and the reseller fee calculator. By using a tool, you agree to them.

Templates, not legal advice

The tools produce templates from your answers. Mendia is not a law firm, and nothing a tool produces is legal advice or creates a lawyer–client relationship. Privacy laws differ by place and change over time. A template can’t know everything your app does, so it may be incomplete or wrong for your situation.

Estimates, not guarantees

The reseller fee calculator estimates marketplace fees and profit from public fee pages as of the date it shows. Marketplaces change their fees, and some categories, store plans, promotions, taxes, and payout methods have their own rates, so the real amount can differ. It is not tax, accounting, or financial advice. Check each marketplace’s current fees before you rely on a number.

Your responsibility

You decide whether to use what a tool produces. Before you publish it, you are responsible for checking that it is accurate and complete for your app, that it matches your App Store privacy answers, and that it meets the laws that apply to you. If your app handles health, financial, or children’s data, or you’re unsure, have a qualified lawyer review it.

Provided as-is

The tools are provided free and “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or compliance with any law or App Store guideline. We may change or remove a tool at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Mendia LLC is not liable for any damages, losses, claims, fines, or App Store rejections arising from your use of a tool or anything it produces.

Your data

The tools run entirely in your browser. Your answers and amounts are saved in your browser so you can come back to them, and are never sent to Mendia. The site uses privacy-friendly analytics that count page views and button clicks, without cookies and without your answers.

What you can do with the output

You may use, edit, and publish what a tool produces for your own apps and your clients’ apps, without credit to Mendia.
