Savor for Umami Privacy Policy

Savor for Umami (“Savor”) is an iPhone and iPad app for Umami web analytics, published by Mendia. The short version: we don’t collect any of your information.

What the App Stores, and Where

• Connections. The Umami server addresses you add, and the API key, sign-in token or (if you turn on Stay Signed In) password for each. Credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain.
• Analytics you’ve viewed. A cache of recent numbers, so the app, its widgets and its alerts load quickly and work offline.
• Your settings. Chart notes, site colors, saved filters, alert preferences and similar choices, kept in the app’s private storage.

If you add a Savor widget, a small snapshot of one site’s numbers and its connection’s credential are shared with the widget on the same device so it can refresh. Your data is included in your device’s iCloud or computer backup if you use one, under Apple’s terms.

Who Savor Talks To

Savor only connects to the Umami servers you add: Umami Cloud, or your own self-hosted server. Those requests are covered by that server’s own privacy policy. We run no servers for the app, and nothing you see in Savor is sent to Mendia or anyone else.

The demo runs entirely on your device and contacts no server.

What We Collect

Nothing. Savor has no Mendia account or sign-in, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs.

Ask and Apple Intelligence

Ask answers questions about your sites on your device. On devices with Apple Intelligence, it may use Apple’s on-device model to understand the question. Your question and your analytics don’t leave the device for this.

Notifications

Alerts and summaries are worked out on your device from your Umami server’s numbers and delivered as local notifications. No push service is involved.

Purchases

Savor Pro is sold as a subscription or a one-time purchase through Apple. Apple handles your payment details, and we never see them. The app only asks Apple whether your Apple Account has Savor Pro so it can unlock it.

Deleting Your Data

Remove a connection in Account to delete its credential and cached analytics. Delete the app to remove everything it stored.

Children

Savor isn’t directed at children and doesn’t knowingly collect information from anyone.

Savor is an independent app. It isn’t made by or affiliated with Umami Software, Inc. Umami is a trademark of its owner.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date above. Because the app collects nothing, a change would only come with a new feature that needs it, and we’d say so here first.
