Money Tools Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 29, 2026
Money Tools is a financial independence planner for iPhone, published by Mendia. The short version: we don’t collect any of your information.
What the App Stores, and Where
The plans you enter (scenarios, assumption presets, progress check-ins, and life events) are stored only on your iPhone, in the app’s private storage. iOS encrypts that data whenever your iPhone is locked. We run no servers for the app, and the app doesn’t send your plans to Mendia or anyone else.
If you add the Money Tools widget, a small summary of your active plan (its name, FI progress, FI number, invested amount, and FI date) is shared with the widget on the same device so it can show it. Your data is included in your device’s iCloud or computer backup if you use one, under Apple’s terms.
What We Collect
Nothing. Money Tools has no account or sign-in, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs.
Purchases
Money Tools Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. Apple handles your payment details, and we never see them. The app only asks Apple whether your Apple Account owns Money Tools Pro so it can unlock it.
Face ID
If you turn on App Lock, iOS checks your Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode. The app receives only a yes or no from iOS and never has access to your biometric data.
Sharing
The app doesn’t share anything on its own. When you share a calculator summary or a Plan Checkup PDF, it goes only where you send it through the iOS share sheet.
Deleting Your Data
Delete the app to delete everything it stored. You can also delete individual scenarios, presets, and check-ins inside the app.
Children
Money Tools isn’t directed at children and doesn’t knowingly collect information from anyone.
Not Financial Advice
Money Tools is educational planning software. It models possible paths from the numbers and assumptions you enter and does not provide financial, tax, investment, or legal advice.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date above. Because the app collects nothing, a change would only come with a new feature that needs it, and we’d say so here first.
